TERMS AND CONDITIONSContents1. GENERAL INFORMATIONIt is necessary to read these Terms and Conditions before making your reservation. It is important that you understand the contractual relation established when using the booking service of Yazores.
Yazores functions as a booking central for accommodation, rent-a-car and tourist animation services. The portal allows for the reservation of the aforementioned services and issues Vouchers automatically. The portal functions as an intermediary between the tourism companies and the clients, and allows the potential tourist to build a travel pack tailored to him, selecting with entire flexibility the services that he will require during his stay. All the services made available by the suppliers abide the Portuguese law.

2. CONTRACTYazores functions as a booking central. From now on, the term "service supplier" will include, amongst others, the following type of entities: hotels, aparthotels, touristic housing, tourist animation organizers, airlines and rent-a-car companies.
A "reservation" or "booking" refers to the acquisition of products or services made through Yazores, which we have approved. The approval on the part of Yazores will be communicated through a Voucher, which will be sent to your e-mail address.
When making a reservation on Yazores, and when the service of your choice is available, the resulting contract will be between you and Yazores. In case you have any doubts before your trip, any and all questions related to the selected travel pack should be addressed to Yazores, but specific questions concerning the chosen services must be directed to the suppliers themselves.
Although we do our best in order to ensure the availability and accuracy of the services published on Yazores, some errors may occur in your reservation. Once we become aware of the existence of such flaws, we will do everything possible to inform you of the occurrence within 72 hours after the reservation has been made. We reserve the right to cancel your booking, without any prejudice to you or to Yazores. In case the service supplier cancels or modifies your reservation, you will have the possibility to choose another alternative offered by the supplier, or cancel your reservation. In case the service supplier doesn't manage to offer a viable alternative within 72 hours, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, without any type of compensation.
All the commissions, taxes and fares required by the government or any other authority, or even by the operator of the selected service, are to be paid for in full by the customer, even when they will have been requested after the issuing of your booking confirmation.
The organization of the trips available on www.Yazores.com is under the full responsibility of InovTravel, Portuguese Tour Operator registered with the Portugal Tourism Bureau no. 3877, with headquarters at Estrada de São Gonçalo 235, 9500-343, Fajã de Baixo, Ponta Delgada, managed by IdeaStation - Soluções Informáticas, Lda., registered st the Ponta Delgada Commercial Registry with the no. 509 829 333.
When a trip organized by Yazores is the subject of a dispute, these general conditions and the specific terms found in the customer's voucher represent the contract that binds the two parts.
2.1 CancellationFor post-paid reservations made via Yazores, the client has the possibility of cancelling his reservation, without any penalty, within 48 hours before the date on his reservation, unless the supplier indicates otherwise, or the rate chosen has specific conditions. Any and all cancellations made after that deadline will result in a penalty corresponding to a quantity established in the terms of the reservation. In case of a no-show or cancellation on the arrival day, the client will have to pay the entire cost of the reservation. The cancellation policy will be presented in the client's Voucher, including any special conditions imposed by the service suppliers, conditions that have priority over the general cancellation policy.
For pre-paid travel packages, there are specific cancellation policies that apply, and, as a rule, they are non refundable.
Each airline defines its own flights cancellation and alterations policy, meaning that there may exist non-refundable fares or penalties applicable in cases of cancellation or changes to the reservation. It is the customer's responsibility to ask Yazores for information on these conditions before making the reservation.
2.2 Reservations cancelled by YazoresYazores reserves the right to cancel an organized trip in case the number of participants is inferior to the minimum number required, when the trip depends on a certain number of participants. In these cases, the customer will be informed via e-mail of the cancellation within 8 days.
2.3 ChangesWhenever a customer that has booked a certain trip wishes to change his/her reservayion to another trip or the same one with a different date, or any other changes, and only when the product providers allow, the customer will have to pay an alterations fee. However, should the change take place 30 days or less before the date of the trip, or if the product providers do not accept the changes requested, the customer will be subjected to the fees included in the "Withdrawl" section.
If the changes are requested after the trip has begun, and for reasons unrelated to Yazores (e.g.: prolonging the stay, changing the flights), the prices of the services and products may not correspond to those published on www.Yazores.com.
Yazores and its suppliers can alter the order of the routes, modify the departure hours or replace the hotels with others of similar category and localization, whenever there are justifiable reasons, having to inform the customer of the alteration as soon as they are aware of it.
2.4 WithdrawlThe customer or his companions are free to withdraw from the trip or cancel it altogether at any time. However, they are responsible for paying all of the penalties stated in the reservation contract, and also a fee of up to 20% of the price of the trip.
Should it be the case, the customer will be refunded the difference between the amount paid and the fees and penalties mentioned above.
The reservation fees on www.Yazores.com are related to the processing of the reservations, and they vary according to the type of product, and they are not refunded in case the cancellation of the trip is due to the customer's request or is the customer's responsibility.
2.5 Hotels and accommodationThe prices indicated are per room, per period, and include all the applicable taxes. Our accommodation suppliers have guaranteed to offer Yazores customers their best prices. In case you wish to cancel or modify your accommodation reservation, the cancellation policy of the service supplier in question will be available in your Voucher.

Images - Although it is our objective to make sure that the images and the description of the accommodation facilities are accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that this is always the case, because the information available on the website is sent to us by the service suppliers. The images and information published have the objective of providing a general idea of the accommodation. Please take into account that the images of interiors can be different from the room in which you will be lodged. There can also be additional costs for extra beds and cots.
Any complaint related to your accommodation should be made directly to the service supplier, the sole responsible for ensuring the conditions specified in your Voucher. You should also inform Yazores of any complaint you make to the service providers.
2.6 Rent-a-carYazores provides real time rent-a-car services, through a system where the suppliers themselves introduce their available services. Our rent-a-car suppliers have guaranteed to offer Yazores customers their best prices.
In case you wish to modify or cancel your rent-a-car reservation, the cancellation policy of the service supplier in question will be available on your Voucher. To cancel your reservation, please contact the Yazores Customer Support Service, within the deadlines specified in your Voucher:

Each rent-a-car company has its own specific Terms and Conditions, which will be explained in your Voucher. In case the cancellation policy of your supplier is different than the general cancellation policy of Yazores, the supplier's conditions have priority and the client must abide by their specifications.
All the drivers must have a valid driver's license and credit card in order to rent the cars. Please take into consideration the fact that there may still be additional costs, other than those presented in your Voucher (such as optional insurance, fares for additional drivers, etc.), and they should be paid at the time the car is handed over to the client.
Should you wish to extend your trip and opt for returning the car after the date specified on your Voucher, the rent-a-car company may charge you a different price for the extra days, a price that may be superior to the one available on Yazores.
3.VOUCHERSAny and all bookings made by the customer on Yazores will be specified in an electronic voucher sent via e-mail, immediately after the reservation is made. The Voucher contains all the information related to the booking (dates, duration, names and contact information for the suppliers of the selected services, as well as their specific Terms and Conditions). Please read all the information on your Voucher carefully. Before travelling, you must print out your Voucher and take it with you, in order to present it as a proof of your reservation.
Yazores uses only the information that the client makes available on the website and, as such, it cannot be held accountable if the client doesn't receive his Voucher because he supplied the wrong e-mail address, or if the Voucher is considered spam by the e-mail's security options. You will have to notify us immediately should you change your e-mail address or your contact phone number. The name that you will give for your Voucher must be the same as the name on your passport/I.D., in order to prove to the service supplier that you are indeed the owner of the reservation.
h3>3.1 LuggageIn case your luggage is damaged during the flight, the complaint will have to be made in writing directly to the airline, immediately after noticing the damage. The client has the obligation to complain to the airline the moment their bag is missing, deteriorated or destroyed.
h3>3.2 Departure and arrival timesThe departure and arrival times are indicated in the local time of the respective city and according to the schedules of the airlines on the date of their publication on www.Yazores.com, and as such they may be subject to alterations.
h3>3.3 InsuranceThe travel packages do not include travel insurance. Yazores offers the possibility to purchase insurance according to the type of trip and in order to cover the customers should they need assistance or in case of cancellations.
4. PAYMENTThe client won't make any payment on Yazores, except when a pre-paid package is acquired, including flight + hotel (+ other services available on the website). The service suppliers need your credit card data in order to guarantee your reservation. As such, Yazores sends your credit card information directly to the hotel/rent-a-car/tourist animation company whose services you booked, after verifying (that is, pre-authorizing) your credit card. In order to protect and code your credit card data when they are sent to us, we use the Secure SocketLayer (SSL) technology.
Please note that your card can be pre-authorized or charged (sometimes without any options for reimbursement) for certain fares or special offers, after the booking is made and confirmed. In the case of pre-paid packages including flight + hotel (+ other services available on the website), the total amount is charged from the credit card which you indicated, and the refund conditions are clearly specified in your voucher. Please verify carefully the description of the services before making your reservation.
In case of fraud or unauthorized use of your credit card by third parties, the majority of banks and credit card companies will assume the risk and cover all of the resulting expenses, a service which, sometimes, can be subject to the payment of a fare (usually €50 or the equivalent in your local currency). In case the bank or the credit card company covers the fare for unauthorized transactions resulting from a reservation made on our website, we will pay that fare, up to €50 (or the equivalent in your local currency). In order for us to pay the fare, you need to report the fraud to your credit card supplier (according to their rules and proceedings) and contact us immediately through the e-mail (customer.care@yazores.com). In the subject field, please write "credit card fraud" and send us the proof of the fare charged (ex: the insurance policy and/or receipt from your credit card company). We will only pay this fare in case the reservations made through the secure server of Yazores resulted in the unauthorized use of your credit card through our error or negligence, and you are not responsible in any way.
Yazores will never charge any amount on your credit card, unless in case of pre-paid travel packages, no-show or late cancellation, and only when the service supplier, due to certain limitations, will not be able to charge the resulting penalty fee himself, as stipulated in your reservation Voucher. The penalty will then be sent by us to the supplier of the service that was cancelled or for which the client did not show.
h3>4.1 RefundsOnce the trip starts, Yazores does not owe any refund for services that aren't used by the customer, for reasons unrelated to Yazores, and in case they cannot be substituted by other equivalents.
h3>4.2 Reservation FeesFor each pre-paid travel package reservation, certain reservation fees are charged, in accordance with the prices standing on www.Yazores.com, which are provided to the customer when solicited.
h3>4.3 Airport TaxesThe airport taxes are always included in the final price of the reservation, unless otherwise specified, in which case they must be paid locally by the passengers in the airports where they are demanded.
h3>4.4 VATThe final prices of the reservations already include the Value Added Tax at the standing legal rate.
5. PASSPORTS AND VISASThe Autonomous Region of the Azores is integrated in the Portuguese Republic, a member state of the European Union, and, as such, the citizens of the other European Union countries can enter the Portuguese territory without needing a visa or a passport, by presenting only their national identification document. The citizens of countries that aren't part of the European Union must check with their local authorities what are the specific requisites for travelling to Portugal. Taking into account that the visa process takes a significant amount of time, the clients that need a visa to enter Portuguese territory should resolve this situation in due time.
6. OTHER TERMSThe original version of these Terms and Conditions was written in Portuguese before being translated to other languages. The translations made available online are only a courtesy to our clients. In case of dispute over the content or interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, or in case of incoherence or differences between the Portuguese version and a translation, the Portuguese version will always prevail. The Portuguese version is available on our website (when choosing the Portuguese interface) and it can be sent to you if you express your desire in writing. All the specific conditions of each service will appear on the respective vouchers.
The client must have all the personal or family documentation required (identity card, military documents, minor authorization, visas, vaccination certificates and other necessary documents). Yazores denies any responsibility whatsoever for the denial of visas or entrance of the customer into a foreign country. In these cases, the "Withdrawl" section applies, and the customer is responsible for all other costs brought on by the situation.
European Union Citizens:
- The customers (whatever their age) who are citizens of the European Union must have their civil identity document (passport, ID, etc.);
- In order to be eligible for medical assistance they must have their European Health Insurance Card;
Non-EU Citizens:
- The customers (whatever their age) who are citizens of the non-EU countries and who wish to travel to the Azores must have a civil identity document (passport) and a visa when necessary. Please note that many countries require that the passport has a minimum validity of six months starting from the entry date into this country. The client is responsible for getting all the information on visa requirments;
- The customers who are citizens of non-EU countries must verify the specific information relating to the necessary documents for entering Portugal with the embassies / consulates of their origin countries;
- Minors, whenever they are not accompanied by the person who holds parental rights, can only enter or leave national territory by showing a written authorization, dated and signed by the person holding the parental rights and this authorization must be notarized.
6.1 Yazores ResponsibilitiesYazores and its suppliers are not responsible for any damages that might occur during your trip, nor in case of death. Yazores is responsible only for the errors of its own reservation service, and cannot be held responsible for the errors of its suppliers, and, as such, the client will have to make their complaints directly to the service suppliers.
6.2. The Client's ResponsibilitiesThe client is responsible for having all of the required documents on his person while travelling, and for checking their validity. The client is also responsible for the correct introduction of his information while making the reservation, for him and for the people that will be accompanying him on the trip. The client must respect the conditions imposed by the service suppliers and stipulated in the reservation Voucher. The client cannot behave in an inappropriate manner, as to offend or harm others, or destroy the property of others. In these cases, Yazores and its suppliers have the right to cancel your reservation without reimbursement and without compensation, so as not to be responsible for the damages you might cause.
6.3 The Client's ObligationsThe client agrees to the having certain obligations, including but not limited to:
• financial responsibility for all the transactions made in his name;
• to be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity;
• all the information concerning the customer and the people accompanying his on the trip must be real;
• Yazores cannot be used for speculative, false or fraudulent reservations;
• the transmission of any threatening, pornographic, political, racist or any other type of illegal material is strictly prohibited;
• the client cannot modify, copy, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publish, license, transfer, sell or derive any information, software, products or services obtained through Yazores. Additionally, the client also accepts:
- not to access, monitor or copy the content or information from this website by using a robot, spider or any other automatic means or manual process, with any objective, without written permission from Yazores;
- to not violate the restrictions of this website, nor avoid or prevent the security measures imposed with the purpose of limiting access to the website;
- to not overload, in any way, the technological infrastructure of Yazores and its suppliers.
6.4 Questions and Complaints related to your ReservationPlease contact our customer support team, should you have any doubt or complaint related to your reservation, before you travel. In case you have any complaint related to your service supplier during your trip, please direct your complaint directly to the supplier, officially, and ask for written confirmation that your complaint was registered, before your return/check-out.
6.5 Using the Services of YazoresThe Yazores reservation central does not accept responsibility for your ability to access and use the booking service, nor does it take responsibility for any interruption that might occur during the use of your service. Yazores does not guarantee that the reservation service is completely virus free or that it doesn't have other properties that might lead to the loss of information.
6.6 The Information on YazoresYazores offers all the general information on our webpage only as a guide. Yazores can, at any time, alter any aspect of the page, of its content, of the reservation service in itself, including the availability of the suppliers, certain characteristics, information and data bases. Yazores does not guarantee that the information is always up to date and it is the responsibility of the client to make sure that he understands and respects all the relevant requirements. Yazores does not guarantee that the information available on the website (including, but not limited to prices, descriptions and dates) is free of errors or omissions, but we are doing everything possible to correct any error or omission that might appear, in the shortest time possible. For example, the majority of the hotels manage the information that appears on the site directly, and they are responsible for updating it.
6.7 Commentaries from the ClientsThe client will have the opportunity to send us his opinions on our booking service and on our suppliers through a specific form, which will be available after the conclusion of the reservation. After returning from his trip, the client will receive an e-mail with a link to his questionnaire, through which he can communicate his degree of satisfaction with our services, as well as propose improvements and/or alterations. By filling out the form, the client agrees to renounce any property of the information he sends to us, and Yazores and its suppliers can use, copy, distribute and/or publish this content through any means and in any shape. By filling out the questionnaire, the client agrees:
• to be the author of everything he writes, or to own the rights to the text;
• to only submit information that is correct on the date he fills out the form;
• to not introduce any false commentary, information or material, any malicious, defamatory, abusive or obscene material or anything that might be interpreted as such;
• to not try to deceive, nor encourage any fraudulent or illegal activities.
6.8 Force MajeureYazores will not be held accountable for any flaw that might occur during the contract, when they are caused by force majeure events. These include, but are not limited to: government intervention, wars, civil commotion, hijacking, fire, flood, accident, storm, strikes, lockouts, terrorist attacks, or industrial action that might affect Yazores and its suppliers.
6.9 CurrencyIn general, the prices on Yazores are expressed in Euro, since this is the currency used in Portugal. When making a price estimate in your local currency, please take into account the possible currency fluctuations, which may alter the final price of your trip.
6.10 Copyright and TrademarksYazores and other names of products or companies, trademarks, logos, photos, videos, texts and other types of copyrighted material mentioned on this page are property of their respective owners. All the content is protected by the copyright and intellectual property laws of Portugal and of the foreign jurisdictions. The unauthorized use of this content can violate the copyright in force, the trademarks and other intellectual property laws. The material published on the Yazores webpage is property of Yazores or its suppliers, unless otherwise specified.
6.11 Privacy PolicyThe terms of the Privacy Policy of Yazores are incorporated in these Terms and Conditions. The client agrees to the use of his information by Yazores and its suppliers, in conformity with the terms and objectives established in the Privacy Policy of Yazores. 6.12 Alterations to the Terms and ConditionsYazores reserves the right to modify or update the Terms and Conditions related to the use of the reservation service without notifying the customer. The current version of the Terms and conditions will be published on the webpage starting with the date it enters in force. To continue using this page after the alteration of the Terms and Conditions is to accept the alterations brought to it.
6.13 Governing LawThese Terms and Conditions constitute a contract between the customer and Yazores, which is a Portugal-based reservation central, governed by the Portuguese laws. The client agrees that any dispute shall be resolved by the Ponta Delgada Court, in conformity with the laws of Portugal. The client also agrees with the fact that, although Yazores does not strictly insist on the enforcement of these Terms and Conditions, it does not constitute the renunciation of this agreement.
The present terms and conditions were elaborated in accordance with the applicable judicial norms relating to tourism agencies, in the form of Law Decree no. 61/2011, of the 6th of May, with a redaction in the Law Decree no. 199/2012, of the 24th of August.
This booking service is offered to you by Yazores, whose registered office is in Estrada de São Gonçalo, no. 235, 9500-435 Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal. All legal documents should be sent to this address. All the correspondence related to our Customer Support Service should be sent via e-mail.
6.14 NotesOther specific conditions will be included in the information that accompanies each reservation.
The present terms and conditions may be complemented by any other specific terms, as longs as all parties involved agree.
Due to the constant fuel price changes there may be alterations to the fuel supplement included in the price of your reservation.
